Scoring Units

Add context to your scores by displaying them with a unit: dollars for poker, points for trivia, or any custom symbol you choose.

New game form showing scoring unit options
Unit Symbol Position Example
Dollars $ Prefix $150
Pounds £ Prefix £150
Euros Prefix €150
Yen ¥ Prefix ¥150
Points pts Suffix 150 pts

Create any unit you need:

  • Symbol: Enter any text (e.g., “stars”, “coins”, “hp”)
  • Position: Choose prefix (before the number) or suffix (after)

Examples: “3 stars”, “hp 100”, “42 coins”

When you select a currency unit, the app checks your device’s locale. If your locale uses a currency that matches a built-in unit (USD, GBP, EUR, JPY), it’s selected automatically. For other currencies, the app can detect your locale’s currency symbol and offer it as a custom unit.

  • Units are purely cosmetic. They don’t affect scoring or calculations
  • Choose “None” if you don’t want any unit displayed
  • The unit appears on all score displays: gameplay rows, leaderboard, share cards, and exports

Yes. Edit the game settings to change the scoring unit at any time. It’s a display preference, not a scoring rule.

No. Units are display-only. A score of 100 with “$” displays as “$100” but is calculated and ranked the same as 100 without a unit.
