Spotlight Search
Keeping Score! indexes your games in iOS Spotlight, so you can find them by swiping down on your Home Screen and typing.
What’s Indexed
Section titled “What’s Indexed”- Title — Search by game name
- Player and team names — Find a game by who played in it
- Status — Playing or Finished
- Description — Date and top participants
How to Search
Section titled “How to Search”- Swipe down on your Home Screen (or swipe right to the search screen)
- Type a game title or participant name
- Tap the result to open it directly in Keeping Score!
Universal Links & Handoff
Section titled “Universal Links & Handoff”Keeping Score! is configured for universal links under www.keepingscore.app/docs/... and open.keepingscore.app, so links you share (or follow from Spotlight Web results) open directly in the app when it’s installed.
Games also support Handoff between devices — view a game on your iPhone, pick it up on your iPad, provided both devices are signed into the same iCloud account.
- Spotlight indexing happens automatically — no setup needed
- If a game doesn’t appear in search immediately, opening the app triggers a reindex
- Search by player name to quickly find games that a specific person played in

Why doesn’t my game show up in Spotlight?
Section titled “Why doesn’t my game show up in Spotlight?”Spotlight indexing happens automatically when games are created or updated. If a game is missing, open Keeping Score! briefly — this triggers a reindex.
Does Spotlight search work offline?
Section titled “Does Spotlight search work offline?”Yes. The search index is stored locally on your device and works without an internet connection.
